On Tuesday, La Liga side Sevilla revealed a new addition to their midfield.
Returning to the Sánchez Pizjuán is Lucien Agoumé.
Following a successful loan spell with the club during the latter half of last season, Sevilla has recently engaged in discussions with Inter Milan to secure a permanent transfer for midfielder Agoumé.
This move received the approval of Sevilla’s new head coach, García Pimienta.
Official confirmation of the transfer came through on Tuesday after negotiations between the parties reached a breakthrough late last week.
According to a statement released on Sevilla’s website and social media:
‘Sevilla FC and Inter Milan have reached an agreement for the transfer of 21-year-old Franco-Cameroonian midfielder Lucien Jefferson Agoumé. After his good work in the almost 800 minutes played in the second half of the 2023/24 campaign, the midfielder signs for four seasons, until June 2028 , becoming the sixth signing of the current market.’
Agoumé joins Albert Sambi Lokonga, Peque Fernández, Saúl Ñíguez, Chidera Ejuke, and Kelechi Iheanacho in what has already been a bustling summer transfer window for Sevilla in Nervión.

The attacker has been making headlines in the Catalan capital throughout the day. This follows the confirmation that Barcelona has successfully negotiated a deal for the 26-year-old.
After shifting focus to Olmo due to their unsuccessful pursuit of Nico Williams, Barcelona intensified negotiations late last week. Leipzig accepted an improved offer, and an official announcement is expected soon.
When can we expect Olmo to start training with his new Barcelona teammates?
According to Diario AS, Olmo is set to arrive in Catalonia on Wednesday and undergo a medical examination on Thursday. Barcelona’s squad is scheduled to resume training on Saturday after their pre-season tour of the USA, and Olmo is anticipated to join them.

According to The Athletic, Arsenal goalkeeper Karl Hein is poised to leave north London for Spain after agreeing to a loan transfer to La Liga side Real Valladolid.
The Estonian international had been uncertain about his future at the Emirates Stadium, with his contract expiring this summer.
However, Arsenal persuaded the 22-year-old to extend his contract in exchange for a guaranteed loan move. Hein showcased his abilities during Arsenal’s pre-season tour of the United States. However, with first-choice keepers Aaron Ramsdale and David Raya returning, his playing time was expected to be limited.
A transfer to League One side Charlton Athletic seemed likely, but a last-minute intervention by Valladolid disrupted their plans to secure his signing.
The La Liga club, owned by Brazilian legend Ronaldo, has a solid connection with Arsenal’s sporting director Edu, who played a crucial role in finalizing the deal.
Valladolid will fully cover Hein’s wages, offering the young goalkeeper a valuable chance to gain experience in one of Europe’s top leagues.
Hein’s departure marks the latest in a series of moves as Arsenal aims to refine their squad ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Emile Smith Rowe has already secured a £34 million transfer to Fulham, and Nuno Tavares and Albert Sambi Lokonga have both been loaned out. The club has also released several players, including Mohamed Elneny, Cedric Soares, and Arthur Okonkwo.
Additional departures are anticipated, with Kieran Tierney, Reiss Nelson, and Eddie Nketiah drawing interest from other teams.
Olympique Marseille has expressed interest in Nketiah, while Nelson is attracting attention from West Ham United and newly promoted Leicester City.
The future of Ramsdale remains uncertain as well. The England international has yet to catch up with Raya in the hierarchy and is eager to secure a transfer.
Should Ramsdale depart, Arsenal must seek a replacement for a backup goalkeeper.
The Gunners have already made an initial offer for Wolverhampton Wanderers’ keeper Dan Bentley but have yet to submit a follow-up bid.
