Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen dominated Bochum 5-0 on Sunday, extending their unbeaten run across all competitions to 50 matches. Last Thursday, Xabi Alonso’s side made history by surpassing Benfica’s long-standing European unbeaten record from 1963 to 1965 with a 2-2 draw against Roma, securing their place in the Europa League final.
Leverkusen showed no mercy against the struggling Bochum, the last Bundesliga team to defeat them last season. The scoring began late in the first half, with Patrik Schick putting Leverkusen ahead in the 41st minute. Victor Boniface doubled their lead with a penalty after Felix Passlack received a straight red card in the 15th minute. Amine Adli added a third in the 76th minute, and Josip Stanisic scored another in the 86th with a low drive before assisting Alejandro Grimaldo’s goal in stoppage time.
Alonso expressed his satisfaction with the result, stating, “I am very satisfied with the result. It was important for us. Now we have a super goal on Saturday to win the title without any defeat. That has never happened before.” Leverkusen will host Augsburg in the Bundesliga finale, where they will also receive their first league trophy.

Frank Magri sealed the win with a stoppage-time strike, lifting Toulouse to 10th in the standings with 43 points.

With two matches remaining, Juventus sits fourth with 67 points. Salernitana stunned the Allianz Stadium by taking the lead in the 27th minute when an unmarked Pierozzi headed in from a corner.
