On Wednesday, a highly acclaimed young talent from Atlético Madrid’s attacking lineup completed a transfer away from the La Liga giants.
The player in question is Samu Omorodion.
Over the past week, striker Omorodion has been prominently featured in Spanish media.
Reports emerged that the 20-year-old was central to escalating transfer negotiations between Atlético Madrid and Premier League powerhouse Chelsea.
While Atlético Madrid was engaged in negotiations for Conor Gallagher, Chelsea took advantage of the situation by expressing their interest in Samu Omorodion. Seizing the opportunity presented by Atlético’s focus on Gallagher, Chelsea made it clear that they were keen on acquiring Omorodion, highlighting their strategic approach in the transfer market.
As mentioned earlier, these discussions were resolved on Wednesday.
According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano:
‘Samu Omorodion to Chelsea, here we go! Deal in place for £35m as fixed fee from Atlético Madrid.’
The Spanish youth international, who was on loan at Deportivo Alavés last season, has agreed to a seven-year contract at Stamford Bridge.

Last week, Roma completed the acquisition of Artem Dovbyk from Girona for approximately €35 million. The Ukrainian forward might not be the only La Liga player joining the club, as Roma is now considering a transfer for Sevilla’s Loïc Badé.
According to Di Marzio, Sevilla is open to selling the French defender, but the price will be steep. This is especially true given that Sevilla still needs to address its center-back shortage after Sergio Ramos’s departure.
The asking price for Badé has been set at €20 million, reflecting his strong performances with France at the ongoing Olympic Games in Paris. Currently, Sevilla and Roma are not aligned on the 24-year-old’s value, with Roma reportedly trying to include players in the deal—a proposal that Sevilla is not considering.
Despite its well-known financial issues, Sevilla does not urgently need to sell Badé. The club recently secured €20 million from the sale of Youssef En-Nesyri, which is already used to enhance Francisco Javier Garcia Pimienta’s squad.

The decision-makers at La Liga club Getafe have set their sights on an attacker from Real Zaragoza.
According to transfer expert Matteo Moretto, Adrián Liso is currently the player under serious consideration. Moretto’s insights indicate that Liso has emerged as a key target in the ongoing transfer discussions, highlighting his potential importance in the upcoming negotiations.
Liso, a 19-year-old winger, has made a significant impression and established himself as one of the most highly regarded young talents at Zaragoza. His performances have garnered attention and respect, highlighting his potential and skill within the team.
The Spaniard, who also possesses the versatility to play as a central striker when required, featured in 38 matches across all competitions last season. His ability to adapt to different roles on the field demonstrated his value and contributed to his extensive involvement in the team’s activities throughout the year.
In these appearances, Liso managed to score a modest but noteworthy total of five goals. Despite not being a standout figure in terms of goals, these contributions were significant and demonstrated his ability to make an impact on the field.
This performance has evidently caught the eye of Getafe’s decision-makers, who, in their ongoing quest for wide reinforcement, have identified Liso as a promising candidate.
The Azulones are currently deliberating on the preparation of a forthcoming offer to Real Zaragoza. This move is part of their strategy to strengthen their squad, and they are carefully considering the terms of the proposal before making an official approach.
