Who scored has revealed their EFL Team of the Week, featuring players from clubs such as Southampton, Plymouth, Huddersfield, Cambridge, and Derby.
Although Swansea suffered a 3-1 defeat at home to Southampton on Saturday, Carl Rushworth’s outstanding performance in goal prevented an even more significant loss. He made seven crucial saves and claimed one high ball, earning his place in the EFL Team of the Week award despite three goals conceded.
Cambridge fought hard to secure a point in a goalless draw against Exeter at St. James’ Park. Liam Bennett stood out with a Who Scored rating of 8.14, contributing significantly with six tackles, five interceptions, and two clearances. The 22-year-old also helped push Cambridge forward by completing two successful dribbles during the match.
In Huddersfield’s 1-1 draw against Blackburn at Ewood Park, Michal Helik stood out as the standout performer. The 28-year-old scored a crucial equalizer in the first half with his only shot on target. He also made 12 clearances and won four aerial duels, earning a Who scored rating of 8.60 and helping the Terriers secure a valuable point.
Eiran Cashin was the star of Derby’s goalless draw with Lincoln, achieving a Who Scored nrating of 8.09. He recorded eight clearances in a solid defensive display, including one off the line. He won three aerial duels, showcasing his reliability at the back.
Jordan Jones delivered a strong performance for Wigan in their 1-0 victory over Reading, marking their second consecutive home league win. The 29-year-old earned a Who Scored rating of 7.95, completing four dribbles and making one key pass, alongside five tackles that contributed to his team’s success.
Ben Sheaf was pivotal in Coventry’s 2-1 win at Sheffield Wednesday, extending their unbeaten streak to nine league matches. Scoring his second and third league goals of the season, Sheaf found the net with two of his five shots. The 24-year-old was instrumental in driving the team forward, completing four dribbles and achieving a Who Scored rating of 9.23.
In Saturday’s lunchtime kickoff, Southampton increased their winning streak to 21 matches across all competitions with a 3-1 victory over Swansea. Flynn Downes delivered a strong performance in midfield, scoring the Saints’ third goal just before halftime. He also showcased his passing accuracy, completing 94.4% of his 71 attempted passes.

Kyle Joseph earns a spot in the EFL Team of the Week with a Who Scored rating of 9.08 after helping Blackpool secure their third consecutive win with a 2-1 victory at Bristol Rovers. The young Scot contributed to both of the Tangerines’ goals by notching his third and fourth assists of the season from five key passes. Additionally, he showcased his defensive skills, winning seven aerial duels, making five tackles, and executing three clearances, marking his best performance of the season.
Southampton’s Che Adams completed the lineup and delivered a standout performance against Swansea. Scoring his fifth goal in six matches, Adams found the net with one of his three shots, earning the player of the match award. The Scotland international was also influential in the attack, creating four key passes, which secured him a Who Scoredrating of 8.24.
